It's been too long!

Good day to you all and Happy 4th of July.

I've been off the grid for way too long and decided that today was the perfect time to get my blog up and running again.  So much has happened in the last 7 months and I have so very much to be thankful for.

With all of the turmoil going on in the world, I am so very thankful that we live in such a great country and that we have our freedom....the most precious of possessions.

My granddaughters, Zoey and Ava are growing like weeds.  Zoey is 3 now and is 90 miles an hour with her hair on fire....just like her Mama!! LOL!
What a crazy kid she is.  I wish I could bottle her energy!  I usually have to take a nap after she comes to stay with Gramma....she just wears me out!

Ava will be 8 months old this month and is the happiest baby I've ever been around. She's crawling all over the place and is pulling herself up on everything!  When she finally gets the "walking" thing down, we'll all be in trouble!!

The thing I am MOST thankful for today is that my son Anthony is doing very well after receiving a new kidney last Sunday, June 29th.  He is at University Hospital in Cleveland.  We were hoping that he would be coming home today, but he's having a few issues and with the holiday, it looks like it won't be until the 1st of week.  He's been on dialysis for about 14 months and we never ever expected for him to get a kidney this soon, so we have been truly blessed.  Any prayers you can send his way would be greatly appreciated.

My son-in-law Danny, underwent major surgery in April for Ulcerated Colitis and has 2 more surgeries ahead of him in August & October.  He is doing very well and will have a new lease on life by the end of the year.  So please keep him and Mindy in your prayers as well.

With all of this going on, I haven't had much time to stitch.  I'm getting the itch to design again...so much for waiting until I retire! LOL!  So don't be surprised if a new pattern pops up here and there!

Mindy and Danny are having their annual 4th of July party this afternoon and I'll be going up to the hospital to see Anthony later this evening, so I'd better get it in gear.

I've missed you all and I'm going to try to be a "better blogger" from now on (fingers crossed)!!

I wish you all a safe and wonderful 4th.  Take care and we'll talk again soon!

From wherever you may dwell, I wish you peace and wish you well.

Lee
