A Sister Lost

It is with a broken heart that I post today that I lost my sister Robin on Monday, October 10th. She was only 52 years old. Robin was shot and killed by a man that was living with her. He has been at large since Monday, but we got the call last night from the Akron Police Department that he had been apprehended in New Mexico and will be brought back to Akron for trial.

I cannot wrap my head around any of this.................Robbie did all the primitive shows with me and was always over here helping me stuff patterns for Hoffman. She loved primitive herself and had decorated her house in wonderful primitive style. We were just at a local flea market last Saturday and laughed ourselves silly over the stuff we saw on the tables. She was so happy with the little treasures she had found and couldn't wait to get home and find the perfect place for them. I will be forever grateful for having her for that day.

I need all the prayers you can send our way, for my sister Kim, who found her and most of all for her 20 year old daughter, Erin. There is no sense or logic to this............she was a warm, intelligent, funny, compassionate lady who's love of animals was second to none. She was a champion to all the dogs and cats out there that needed help. We volunteered at the Summit County Humane Society for several months last year and no job was to big for her to tackle in saving those she could. Over the last 20 years, Robbie has rescued 20 dogs and cats.....that we can remember. She was always there to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it whether she knew them or not. Her family always came first and she would always tell us, when we were struggling with something, that "it would be ok, as long as we were together, we could get thru anything."

The hardest part is ahead of us. We have to make sure this man pays for what he's done.

Robin's Memorial Service will be tomorrow and then we wait to see what happens from here.

I am numb, I am angry and I am empty inside........but will do whatever it takes to make this
right for my little sister.

Rest easy Robbie...........we love you and will miss you always.
